Copy Object Link

Description

Since Matrix42 does not provide an option to directly copy links to service requests or other objects, this extension improves your communication workflow. Instead of sending just a ticket number, you can now send a direct link, making it easier for recipients to access the relevant ticket immediately.

Scope of the extension

After installing Copy Object Link, a separate control descriptor is available. This can be used as standard in dialogs, wizards, quick views, home pages and individual widgets.

Use in the Layout Designer

After installing the extension, the “Copy Object Link To Clipboard” control is available in the Layout Designer.

Inserting and configuring

1. Drag the control into the desired layout.

     2. Set the following parameters:

• Type: The type of object must be specified here (Context Variable “Object.Type”)
• ObjectId: The ID of the object must be specified here (Context Variable “Object.Id”)

         3. A title is optional.If no title is specified, the label “Copy link” appears by default.   

Customize appearance

1. Default appearance

• The button has no background color by default.
• The font color corresponds to the standard color defined in the theme.
• The button extends across the entire width of the layout.

2. Customization options

• To change the background or text color, enter the desired color value as a hex code.

• The width of the button can be changed by adjusting the layout container.

• An icon can be added and its color can be defined individually.
